T-Minus 8 and Counting

Testing 1, 2. 3.

Well a week from Monday we are on the road.  Today is just a post to let you see what the emails will look like when we post to the blog.   Remember to send us a shout out or comment from time to time on the blog.  It's nice to know that our blog readers are out there.

We had a couple of last minute problems.   The campers dining room slide-out decided with 2 weeks to go to stop working and it was a real rush to find someone who could take a look.  All is better now and I know how to deal with it should it be a problem in the future so we are good to go.

The Route

A week from this Monday (May 16 to be exact) we get on the road around 1pm or so.

We will only drive about 170 mi (3 hrs) to Jordan Lake SP by Raleigh but it gets us out of town and underway.

Tuesday we'll continue our drive West out to Nashville, Tn area  500mi - 8hrs
Weds we'll be somewhere in Western Oklahoma near the Tx Border  800mi - 13hrs
(perhaps we'll even sleep in a Walmart Parking lot)
Thursday we will arrive at Great Sand Dunes NP in Colorado 500mi - 9hrs

At this point we'll shift down a few gears - get out of Trucker Mode - and start to smell the Cacti.

Friday and Saturday we are in Mesa Verde National Park
Sunday & Monday Arches/Canyonlands NP areas in Utah
Next the Monument Valley in Az, Grand Canyon, Zion, and points west.

Monument Valley Arizona

So pull up a chair and fasten your seatbelts.
The traveling Road Show is about to begin and we're glad you are riding along.

See ya on the trail.

  1. Kate and Greg,
I'm so excited for you as you embark on an amazing adventure! We will miss you and the doodles over the next couple of months but are happy to know we'll be staying in touch. I've designated myself as a prayer partner for you knowing you'll have God's blessings along the way.

    Dear God,
Thank you for our friends Kate and Greg. I ask for your peace and protection around them as they travel. Allow them to explore, enjoy and be inspired by your abundant riches and beauty you provide. Bless this blog and their experiences as a way to share your gifts with us. Amen.
