Goodbye DoodleCamp

The past few days have been a whirlwind.
We arrived at Ron & Maxines house and spent a few days taking
care of last minute items, getting caught up on work,
and preparing the Montana for our return from Europe.

Meanwhile the Doodles have been getting reacquainted with their new home for
the next 3 weeks.

As you can see... they are quite at home.

They will spend a great three weeks at DoodleCamp while we
are gone.

It is truly comforting to know that will be somewhere that they not only will
be cared for - but actually loved.

We slipped out of DoodleCamp this afternoon and made the 2hr drive to
SanFrancisco in the rain.

Crossing the Oakland Bay Bridge you can see a tower of the Golden Gate bridge on the right side
off in the distance.   San Francisco is straight ahead.

By 4pm we were in our hotel.
We are staying tonight at the Inn at Oyster Point.
It is a smaller boutique style hotel in South San Francisco and on San Francisco Bay
only about 3 miles from SFO.

The view from our room.

We will leave the truck here for 3 weeks.
Considering the price of parking - the hotel room is almost free.

Our room has a fireplace - nice touch!

We just had a nice dinner in the hotel and now starts the waiting.

Tomorrow we will be shuttled to the airport and spend our time waiting
for our flight in the United Business Class Lounge.
Our flight departs at 1:50 pm PST and arrives in
Frankfurt at 0945 on the 19th.

When we get to the airport I will pick up a sim card for my iPhone,
pick up our rental car - and the plan is to head off to Marksburg Castle
before we return to Frankfurt and check into our hotel.

It should be a busy couple of days!

Next stop - Germany!
See you there.

  4. If you haven't been to Frankfort in a while, the airport has had some major improvements.
