Denali Park Road Drivelapse

When I created our last post, I did not have time to include the drivelapse video
that I was working on.

Now that it is completed I thought I would do a post to share with you the drive.

Leaving Teklanika Campground in Denali National Park (1 on the map), we drove the Park Road
about 30 miles back to the Visitor Center ( 2 on map) to pick up the towed,
then finally to the Riley Creek Mercantile (3 on Map) where there is a dump
station and water fill.

The Movie below shows the drive back, passing thru the ranger checkpoint at
Savage River where we leave the restricted area and back into the front section of
the park where you are allowed to drive private vehicles.

Next on our list is the Dalton Highway up to the Arctic Ocean.
We leave tomorrow  morning for that adventure.

We'll leave the bus in Fairbanks and camp in the Truck for the trip.

500 miles from Fairbanks to Deadhorse - Prudhoe Bay Oil fields.
most of it dirt road.
Only one fuel stop along the way and no cell coverage at all till we get to Deadhorse.
All of it thru some of the most remote  (and scenic) country in North America.

I plan to do a drivelapse of that trip too - but at a higher speed.

Stay tuned - the next post should be something special.

See you in the Arctic!
