Wahweep Revisited

This morning we packed camp again and headed 3 hours north to one
of our haunts form last year - Wahweep Campground on Lake Powell
just outside of Page, Az.

You might remember this as the place from which we visited the slot canyons.

Our home for the next 3 days.
You can see the lake in the background.

Kate is amazing.
By the time I have the hookups done, the unit blocked and leveled,
she has the slides out, the inside all set up, and a little nest of a backyard -
complete with our own Cactus Garden - all set up.

Wahweep is another National Forest Campground.
It is part of the Glen Canyon National Recreation Area.
The campground is more like an RV Resort.
There is 30a and 50a electric, water, and sewer hookups at each site.
Most sites can accommodate units up to 70' long.

Even the bathroom buildings are done in a Southwestern Pueblo Motif.

The landscaping is drip irrigated.
There is a resort hotel down by the water, a marina with several hundred slips,
Boat Rentals etc.

It is a summer destination for families with water toys, and a winter destination
for snowbirds escaping the cold.

Our plan is to hang here for a few days and do whatever...

We've been running a lot.
My work and play schedule leaves little time to catch my breath so perhaps
we'll just chill for a few days.

Don't forget to check out the blog..  our map is always updated
with our current location.

Stay tuned.
